Is Flash animation right for my site?

Flash animation is a great way to grab your viewers attention when they visit your site. Most sites use a few Flash animations on their site and some use Flash 100% for their site. Sites that are totally done in Flash have some neat features, one of which is that the entire page does not need to reload when new data is needed. They can also use neat loading animations, the whole process is very fluid and very eye-catching. All Flash web sites are great but are not recommended for text-heavy web sites or sites that want to be optimized for the search engines. Right now the search engines do not index the text inside of the Flash files, there are ways around this but they are not as effective as text only web sites.

What kind of database application driven web sites can you make?

Using Coldfusion with a database we can make some really great web sites that are different that then typical site.
