How can we can create a custom store application for your business

If you have a business where you sell products in a retail store you may have wondered if selling your products online is the right way to go. CCE has recently created two online store applications for two very different clients. Our first client is CrackerBoxKits.com. They sell products online, using eBay and their old online store. Their old online store was extremely restrictive and was not user friendly, for the buyer and the seller. They were very unhappy with their setup. CrackerBoxKits.com contacted us and explained their current situation about what they liked about their current system (not much) and what they didn't like. In this case the client has a few options:

• Modify the existing store application to fit their needs
• Purchase an Online store cart off the shelf
• Create a new custom Online store application

Modifying the existing store would have been almost a complete revamp so that wouldn't really be practical. Purchasing a new Online store off the shelf was definitely a possibility, you can even get a free cart using PayPal. I'll go over the differences of both.

Purchasing a new store will give you many features and items there is no doubt about that. A lot of them are extremely customizable. Prices of course will vary depending on the maker of the product. The down sized to any pre built system is that you are eventually going to reach a point when you can't add / change certain items

PayPal's 'Buy it now' buttons

PayPal has a nice free shopping cart system where they basically handle it all. If you are on a tight budget and are satisfied with the way their system works, then it is for you. However there is very little changeable options, basically what you see is what you get.

Create a new custom Online Store Application
